Seared Black and Gold Salmon Recipe : In Syrena's Kitchen
In this blog, I will be showing you guys how to make vegetable quinoa with roasted potatoes, seared black and gold salmon, seasoned with lemon zest and cracked black pepper quinoa.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cup of quinoa
3 cups vegetable stock
2t kosher salt
2t cracked black pepper
1/2 green bell pepper diced
1/2 red bell pepper diced
1t minced garlic
Bring stock to a boil, add quinoa and let it cook , then add bell pepper and garlic and cook until tender season to liking. roasted potatoes.
3 large potatoes of your liking, I used Idaho in this recipe!
3t Thyme chopped
3t Minced Garlic
1/3 cup Olive Oil
2t kosher Salt
2t black pepper
Toss the ingredients together, roast in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
1 portion of pre cut salmon with skin
1 lemon for zest
2t cracked black pepper
1t olive oil
2t chopped thyme
In a hot cast iron or metal bottomed skillet, season the salmon with salt, pepper, lemon zest and lemon juice. On the fillet, score the skin side of the fillet and marinate it for about 5-10 minutes. Once the oil is hot, finally add the salmon.
